A Gunboat is slow compared to this cruiser
If speed is your game, and you can deal with the spartan ex-race boat style, this is your boat. Many years ago I bought an ex race boat (Cal 40) and refit for cruising, a fun boat. If you have the coin for a Gunboat, but are willing to trade some luxury for all out speed (30+ kt), just the idea that someone refit a Maxi cat for cruising is out there, but my kind of out there........if I had the coin.
SWIFT Boat for sale
SandCrab Bob ought to like this boat.

Re: A Gunboat is slow compared to this cruiser
It would do well against pirates if equipped with qualified gunners and suitable ammunition; as well as landing on sandy beaches, because after all, it's a landing craft with a large Danforth anchor hanging on the stern.

Guns, multi's and pirates ... should be a great thread! But maybe short-lived.

Yeah, especially since we also have an anchor commentary. Now if the gunboat were just made by Hunter............

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

It's amazing how out-of-place the dinghy looks on the back of that cat!

OK, spartan as compared to a used Gunboat at the same price.

Of course you'll need the room for the crew it will take to sail her.
