Re: 2000 Nautitech 395

It's very similar to the Nautitech40 which was a development of the 395. The main differences are the windows (N40 has a wrap-around made of 12mm acrylic) and the cockpit canopy which was changed from awning to a solid extension of the cabin top.

The most controversial feature (love it or hate it) is the positioning of the twin helms. This remained unchanged.

Re: 2000 Nautitech 395

Hi Chris tks for the info , I really like the 40 but the position of the anchor really doesn't make sense to me and puts me off , can't see how one won't damage the hull , and yes the helms leaves one very exposed but suppose you can get used to it.

Re: 2000 Nautitech 395

Your comment prompted me to google the 395 and view photos on yachtworld. I had always assumed that the offset anchor arrangement was also carried over from the 395. Now I see that it is central, with chain locker and windlass under the mast. I can't think why they moved it from there, but it seems to me it would be a relatively simple mod to move it back again..

Yes Chris think would be better in the centre although it apparently works there but no idea why one would put it there though.
