Thank you James, most boats are lovely. She is in the water but fluid restoration was a term used mostly to describe the endless flow of time, love, effort and coin required while haveing an affair with an older lady.

I can see from your gallery you are no stranger to "what it takes", your girl is nothing less than magnificent.

My love is a 1985 Mirage 35

Mine is a Gib'Sea 302 (length 30', draft 5' 3", beam 11', 3.5 metric tonnes), built in 1994 by Gibert Marine, with 2 double berths (in the fore and aft cabins) and 2 single ones in the saloon, galley and heads at the foot on the companionway.

She is well suited to my sailing programme: winter sorties around my South Brittany home port and summer cruising to Britain, Ireland or Spain.

Before I bought her, she had been used for 9 years by a cruising association. Then, some parts of the accommodation need overhauling. Before doing that, I preferred to change the mainsail and upgrade the electronics suite (adding GPS and VHF radio).

I keep jibs to snap on the forestay because I find this system more reliable in strong winds than roller genoa and I don't mind going to the bow to change sails.

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and to sailing. I purchased an old Coronado C-15 about two years ago, and have sailed it a few times. Of course, the boat did not come with any manuals or set-up information so I don't know if I have it set-up right. Things like shroud tension etc. Anyways, if any of you have any experience with this boat, I would be interested in asking some questions about setting it up properly.

I have a Robert Clark 42 ft built by Berthon of Lymington. She was launched in 1962. I have had the task of caring for her for the last four years and in that time have had a major refit, taken her around England, Wales and half of Scotland. Alkso enjoyed a trip down the Irish East Coast.

She is now alongside at Peterhead in preparation for a cruise to Norway over the summer.

The bliss of being retired eh?
