Yanmar 3qM30 governor link

Hello helpful folks. After having my injector pump serviced and reinstalled successfully in starting, the governor link that goes over the pin on the rack hops off after a few minutes resulting in too much fuel, black smoke, high rpms. I suspect it is just worn and the hole oversized and needs replacing. Could it anything else?

Re: Yanmar 3qM30 governor link

Hi GordMay. On my Endeavour 37, the Yanmar is suitable when it works.I was thinking of putting an "o" ring on the pin of the injection pump rack to help the link stay in place. It seemed easier than replacing the governor link. The tolerance is so close to the cam gear that I wondered if the governor weights were joggled somehow and encouraging the link to pop off, or if a vibration or impediment on the gear wheel hit the link arm? Any ideas?
