World Cruiser for sale

Saw this ad in the Bay Area. Really hard to think that someone would actually build this piece of fecal matter as a sailboat. All I can do is shake my head and think, "What was he thinking" and how many wives did he go through doing it because he must have been a weird dude. Roberts 45 sailboat

I look at the photos but my mind fails to process what I see. I choose to believe this is a lie.

Re: World Cruiser for sale

As a yacht, its quite ugly. But as a livaboard, well, I guess it has a lot of space now. Just trying to find a positive.

But as far as humor is concerned, the Price is that funny, it could have its own sit-com.

Everyone has there own opinion of "modified for better live a board". I especially like the throw rugs, Home Depot refrigerator and the creepy doll on the berth...oh...I mean bed.

Re: World Cruiser for sale

For a liveaboard it likely works wayyyy better than something intended to sail - but when I see something like this I always wonder WTF the "designs" that got rejected looked like!

I'm thinking this Roberts design has been "modified" by the owner/builder. I'm guessing if Mr. Roberts saw this boat he would immediately disown having anything to do with it's design.

Bugger.... why wasn't this on the market when we were looking?
I guess we'll just have to be content with what we found...

Re: World Cruiser for sale

Somebody beat the boat with an ugly stick. I think the only way boats like this get built is by folks who have the dream, but have never been to sea.

Re: World Cruiser for sale

Looks like someone cut the top off a canal barge houseboat and epoxied it onto a sailboat hull!

Believe it or not...this is what that boat was designed to look like. I have met people like this before. They are determined to do it there way and no one person or act of divine intervention can change their mind.

They say there's one born every minute. He just needs to find the one with $65,000
