What did Ted Turner say about a Britton Chance America's Cup design once?

Re: World Cruiser for sale

Looks to me like that boat owner/modifier was going for the new angular stealth look, invisibility to radar like that new Navy ship:

Re: World Cruiser for sale

Sailboat design seem to get more than it's fair shair of wtf's.. I guess it's the romance of the sea thingy and the long timeline of people lured out to sea, searching.... searching for promised land and riches and rum and tropical islands with swaying hips and coconuts and Coronas with lime..

I wonder if he used the Earthquake fasteners on that Fridge...Could you just imagine what that thing would look like as it rips the #10 screws from the wall in it's attempt at freedom through the closest part of hull it can fly through....

Re: World Cruiser for sale

I'd give him the $650.00 dollarz he is askin for, cuz i'd get more at the scrap yard for it.....or was there a different decimal point? in that case, I would still give him the 6.50 for the doll. My dog liked it, for a toy. lol

He just enlarged the coffin-like living space. Besides that, it's a typical multihull design.

That is some nasty cabinet work on the inside, though. And how is that refrigerator operated on this "world cruiser"... squirrel cage?

Re: World Cruiser for sale

Now let's be kind in discussing this... floating accommodation. After all, the refrigerator alone should be worth a couple hundred dollars.

There are better sailboats, and there are better houseboats. I guess this one has the benefit that it is a little of both.

But then, there are plenty of cats out there which are better houseboats and sailboats - at least, they're nicer looking!

I looked on the Net and found a picture of her sister ship. It is in dry dock at the moment.
