Talking A SAIL BOAT OF COURSE

She started off as a 1970 Cal 2-30.

Original displacement of 10,689, Sail area of 479, Hull speed of 6.9, L.O.A of 30.36, and L.W.L. of 26.51

The previous owners, currently owners of The Watermaker Store, had her since the early '80s. She was extended 5 feet in a yard south of the border. They had the radar tower added and the other tower facilitates a wind vane for self steering with an additional rudder that attaches to the swim step.
I purchased "Windthief" in February this year and have been slowly getting her back on her legs so to speak. The previous owners have been very involved in their business and other interests so the regular use that this boat needs just wasn't there.
previous owners sailed her down into the far south of Mexico twice I believe before starting their business.
My plan is to have her loan payed off in two and a half years and take her as far as I can in an unended cruise.

she is documented as "WINDTHIEF"

Thanks for asking

Wind Thief

Thank you for that. The Cal 36 has made it to the short list for my next boat. If anyone would like to comment on this choice please speak up. Does anyone know where I can look at one in the PNW area. That is the Pacific North West of US and Canada for the ROTW.
