Not much can go wrong with them since it has an unstayed mast
. One of the things that sold me on it was I sailed with a Marine
architect who also delivered a few of them who told me the simplicity of the design and construction impressed him. Look for excessive non factory drilled holes in the mast
. Aluminium water tanks
may need to be replaced at some point though mine are still original. Engine
as on any used boat
should get a good going over. Though I converted mine to electric propulsion
seven years ago and never looked back. THE BIANKA LOG BLOG: ELECTRIC PROPULSION HARBOR TEST 2014
The boat though considered a coastal cruisers is pretty tough. The book Without Rival chronicles one Nonsuch that sailed across the Atlantic was abandoned off the Azores
on the return and the boat drifted and ended up in South America
where the owner retrieved it and is still sailing today.
Suggest you checkout the International Nonsuch Association website. Lot's of good info and boats for sale
