You are right. This figure is almost certainly off. I have to admit, I'm not sure where that number came from. On my next pilgrimage to the Mystic Seaport Museum, I will make my best effort to find what ballast numbers the firm originally specified for this particular yacht. tries to cover more than 7000 different yachts. But I have actually been aboard one of these boats. One was offered for sale just last year, very near where I live. To my surprise, it sold and was gone in a few weeks.

There is an Annapolis 30 for sale in North East, MD. Not sure of the year but it looks great. The owner put a lot of work into it over the last few years. If anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll pass it along.
