Where's the Bath Tub?

How is it that we have plenty of what I consider large boats, <40 feet, that do not have bath tubs of some sort.
No, I don't mean the cockpit with the scupper clogger.
No, I don't mean the Hunter 50 center cockpit with the lift up aft berth.
I mean a monohull with a proper bath. Of course it is not for me!!! Maybe wives and cold blooded friends would like a soak now and then.

Do you have to go to a mega yacht to get a bath tub these days? I mean really!

I saw a Hunter45 with a bath tub at a boat show. The frosted glass door seemed inappropriate though.

I bet that the tubs in the house I live in have not been used in 20 years, except maybe to wash the dog in cold weather. One has been removed completely. IT would not be a selling point to this boat shopper. Nonetheless, it should be doable. I guess it would maybe even be a salt water spa ...

Bayfield 36 has a tub, if you can believe it. Not the roomiest, but it worked! Our boy certainly loved it at the time.

FYI the last time I was 'on' a boat with a tub I felt like I was flying and swiming through mud at the same time.

I'm fabricating a vanity mirror with LED (5600K) lights right now, fun project and she will be proud but your post makes me think about buying a blow up kiddy pool for the sand!

Ok, now that is an entirely different story. I retract my comments about not wanting a "tub" on a boat.

Some boats are tubs unto themselves.

David,
As you are Cat searching still, do notice there are no posts regarding tubs on multihulls yet.

And I agree some boats are tubs.
