When Buying a Hunter 28 in the H20

Hello Everyone. I am currently looking at a 1978 Hunter 30. It is in the water. I know I need a survey. However, what is the procedure? I realize I would pay to pull and survey. I don't know what the whole process is for buying. Help!!

Also, any knowledge of the Hunter 30 would be appreciated.

Re: When buying a Hunter 28 in the H20

You make an offer. Owner counters. You make any adjustments or walk. Once you have both agreed on a price, typically you will pay a depoist to hold the boat off the market. You then have a grace period within which to make arrangements to have the boat hauled out, surveyed and sea trialed. If all goes well, you sign and own a boat. If there are issues you aren't happy with, you either renegotiate or cancel your contract.
