Re: What's Your Dream Boat ?

For a long-distance, long-legged cruising boat, Holman & Pye designed Oyster 68 from the '90's:

with a carbon rig and a really nice suit of sails.

For a performance boat, a Gunboat 55. With no unnecessary weight inside, no generator, no washing machine, and with baggage strictly limited to 22 kilos per person like on an airplane (which is kind of what this craft is ).

For pottering around tidal estuaries in the English Channel, a bilge-keel or swing-keel boat, not too big, like one of the Moodys from the '90's, or a Southerly, or maybe an Ovni.

While we're fantasizing -- how about all three?

Re: What's Your Dream Boat ?

I just found this blog today of a build of a Lyle Hess 34. This guy is doing a wonderful job putting this one together. Hard not to fall in love with it.
