The owner said it was a FRASER 30 by the DeKleer brothers. the one beside it is but I do not believe this one is (Different windows has a outboard)

Thanks,

Re: What Type of sailboat is This?

That interior shot positively identifies it as my grandsons bedroom.

The exterior shot makes me think its not a Cal.

Re: What Type of sailboat is This?

Sailboat2001, can you post a photo of the the HIN number? Or if you're concerned about privacy issues just the first 3 letters and next 3 numbers to ID the manufacturer and the boat's size/model. Thanks.

PS Just in case - it should be in the right upper corner of the stern.

Re: What Type of sailboat is This?

I agree with some of the guesstimations on the hull type. I am thinking a Newport 27. Capital Yachts was involved with the Newport and I think the Islander molds at some point. The sheerline stripe reminds me of some of their looks. The gentleman that asked about the HIN #
is on the right track, providing that the boat was built after HIN # became standard on FG Boats. Prior to that it would be just a builders Plaque somewhere on the interior or cockpit.

Re: What Type of sailboat is This?

Interior, windows, and stripe are wrong for a Newport 27.

Re: What Type of sailboat is This?

Bong, heater, whatever. Microwave makes it a liveaboard! Get onestep's grandson outta there and move in. If the outboard works, go cruising.

Many boats seem to have a cove stripe like that, but that hull/deck joint is less usual. Did Fraser make a 30 without a pilothouse? 90s Fraser 30 has a similar cove stripe and teak rail, and 70s Fraser 30 has similar portlights.

Show us the sheer, the stern, the cockpit. Or like islandtime said, post part of the hin.

Re: What Type of sailboat is This?

Calgan of Vancouver BC built some of the early raised deck CALs as well as their own CALGAN line that was based on some of these same designs. Maybe it's one of those. Although we can't ever really know for sure with just this photo.
