You can upload a PDF as an attachment to a post as long as it's no larger than 595 KB. Use the "paper clip" icon above your post's text box.
If the PDF is too large, you can use an application like "Snipping Tool" to snip images from it and then upload them as JPEGs.

Agreed, great wave but very rare. I have surfed it maybe 6 times over the years. There is also a left south of there a few miles that gets good. Sharky but good.

Firstly, having run aground it was the prudent thing to do to stay with the boat at least until day light.
Second, the guy wasn't yet in the position to 'go ashore' as one would from a securely anchored vessel.
Our man had mistaken Piedras Blancas for San Simeon point. Aside from thinking how in tarnation he could make such a mistake, the fact is his vessel wasn't secured in an anchorage.
