Re: Well I guess I own a boat!

Rust also works better than loctite! I just took a 1 1/2" elbow off my exhaust header...I heated it until it glowed, then with a 3 ft. pipe wrench and a 4 ft. cheater bar, removed it!

And Duct Tape will save the world!
When I first discovered duct tape for myself (about 40 years ago ) I was very amused to observe how different groups all thought they had discovered it and were the only ones that knew about it. I was in the music business and all the roadies called it rock and roll tape. I had a friend that called it photographers tape, and there was mechanics tape and of course boaters tape.

I'm pretty sure the previous owner of my boat used it for everything except patching the hull.

Ah yes.... Unfortunately, we are our own roadies now days.... just used duct tape for a gig New Years eve. Mic stand wouldnt tighten... set it the height required and taped it there!

And when the mic clip breaks you tape the mic to the stand with duct tape.

For anyone else looking for a Corbin 39, this one is owned by some friends. They built it out new back in the day. It was updated in 2009 with a bunch of cool stuff. Curtis Stokes Yacht Brokerage- 39 Corbin Sailing Yacht Capbam | Yacht for Sale

Re: Well I Guess I Own a Boat!

Hi:

Congrats on the purchase. I noticed the boat too a week ago and figured it was a sweet deal. Unfortunately, I still have the illusion that I will find sufficient headroom one day in a boat, and I am not on the west coast. I was on a Corbin in the fall and the headroom was less than a CS36T and Niagara 35, both of which are just slightly shorter than I am tall.

Look at the Aloha 34, headroom inside the salon is 6.5 feet. I never even think about hitting my head, except on the companionway slide .

You don't own a boat, it owns you. If you still have cash in your wallet, you ain't done.
