Wauquiez Gladiateur 33

I found a really nice 1984 Wauquiez Gladiateur 33, but I'm now hearing these boats can have serious problems with blisters..............

Is there any truth to this?

Great boat. I had a friend who owned two of them. Don't worry about blisters.

Ive not heard about any blister issues related to the boats in general. Not like Valiant etc. Some boats will have them, some not.

Re: Wauquiez Gladiateur 33

Okay, thanks.

The boat is located near Annapolis, MD although expensive there are some very good surveyors up there.

It has a new 2008 Volvo and Saildrive.

Any comments on the Saildrive?

I am not up on wacquiez boats. But the 20HP seemed light. A quick internet search showed another gladiateur with a Yanmar 3gm30. That is a 30 HP engine.

Just a random thought. Might want to research the engine size more

Re: Wauquiez Gladiateur 33

the 3gm30 isnt much hp at resaonable rpm though. But I agree the HP is minimal. Anyway, I would be more concerned about a saildrive, but some people make them work out ok. Just another thing to worry about. It must be a conversion to saildrive?
