IIRC, the PJ 43 was an S&S design, also built by Swan as a Swan 43. Very neat boats... almost bought one long ago. Young and foolish...

Cheers,

Jim

No, the boat in Miami. Kings Ransom was in Katrina. Was actually not that badly damaged, but lots of water damage to the interior. I was told it ended up deck down in the mud. These boats are total tanks. The area where the cockpit drains go thru the hull, the hulls is about 1.5" thick solid glass. and that was on my 1985 model.

the older models also have less headroom in the walk thru as well as the locker in the very stern. I had a look on yachtworld and the one I was thinking of with the AC unit is now for sale in Malaysia with the same broker. Yacht domain.

there really are quite a few for sale at the moment. When I bought mine there had only been 2 for sale in 3 years in the USA. Now there seem to be about 6 for sale here.

I guess Fatty has really tarnished the image of this model!

PJ 43 and PJ 43 CR were different boats, I believe.
Did a little Google'ing and found this:

PALMER JOHNSON 43CR sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com

I do not know story behind it, but may be it was like PJ 43, which was Swan built, but marketed for some time in US under PJ brand (with some other models).

By the way, I tried to find some info regarding Your boat, but didn't find anything on Sayer website. Is she custom one-off?

Regards

Tomasz

Re: Wauquiez Amphitrite 43 ?

Well we bought it!
And yes now the fun starts but it's great to be back in a boat! I'm off now to the rigging forum as the insurance co says I need a new rig before they'll cover. This fine as we were going to anyway but not for a couple of years,

Never mind

A French Website is entirely devoted to the Amphitrite. You can get many informations about her.
Le Monde des Amphs
With the help of a translater you can read a lot of articles or messages about this sailing boat.
English speaking sailors are registered on this site and after (free) registering you can contact them.
I purchased one of these boats 11 years ago and I'm very satisfied.
