Wally
On another thread we got to discussing Wallys. Thought I would post some pics.
Smallest one they make is a 60 footer pic is from the helm positionn - yes you'll cause quite a stir when you come into the anchorage....................
The biggest one is a monster 164 footer and this one is for those who want a sailboat but like the idea of a flybridge and absolutely will not compromise on comfort (meaning a $3000 per month cruising budget ain't a gonna make it here boys and girls).
OROH - even in Monte Carlo you'll get their attention when you come in.
So I can dream on (they haven't figured out a way to tax dreams yet - have they?)

Re: Wally
I forgot to mention that the living area on the 164 foot beast is only 400 sq meters (tough if you like big parties).
The owners suite is kinda cramped at a mere 62 sq meters.(where will I put all the blonds?)

Re: Wally
Carsten,
I would definitely investigate the gin tankage on that boat with you... We might even giggle a little...
Here's a boat I drool over in my neck of the woods... main boom appears to be "person height diameter - 5-6ft"

I suspect even Dockhead would be satisfied with the gin tankage on the Wally. Of course a bigger boat means more guests which means more gin drinking which means more gin tankage which means more guest which means more gin tankage which means....................
He'll need a bigger boat

I'm afraid this "yacht material" is completely dependent on the size of your bank account.
But of course if you happen to see one in the harbour, put on your white ducks, blue blazer (with the Royal Yacht Club emblem embroidered on the breast pocket) your ascot and stand nearby looking like you own it

Re: Wally
Yachts like these, compared to more common sailboats, are like diamonds compared to pebbles.

Re: Wally
Yes, like Ferraris to normal cars. and like with Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Maserati and Pagani it has all to do with Italian passion by beautiful fast machines, being them cars or sailboats.
The man behind Wally, Luca Bassani, is a creator that don't know how to draw but...
