Van De Stadt 34 Legend

Purchased a nice looking 1975 GOP van de stadt 34 legend, she's out on the hardstand as she's been a little neglected then again I got her for a steal, has anyone had any experience sailing these delightful yachts? Also this is my upgrade from a snapdragon 20. Very light for her size at 4.1 metric tons sadly I haven't had her sails up yet but very excited to as I've heard that they are rather slippery in the water.

Have you not heard glass over ply called GOP? I thought it was a known thing, maybe it's just a new Zealand thing, but yes glass over ply.

Thanks, nzy... yes, we know that kiwis talk funny, and have their own lingo! Why, imagine how surprised I was to discover that a sex-oftenist was a musician who played a brass reed instrument!

Anyhow, that acronym had not reached me before. Meanwhile, I'm a bit of a VdeS fan... lots of interesting designs. Hope that you enjoy yours!
