Upgraded Westerly Centaur Puzzle

I'm following the blog and vids of this boat over to the Bahamas. They are having a grand old time of it apparently though I speak very little French.
Anyhoo, they have totally revamped the boat both inside and out. It has all been very professionally done and I'm impressed but looking at it all I got to thinking,.....where the hell did they move the mainsheet and traveller??
looking at the pics on the website, it seems to be attached to one of the back port stanchions. Surely not thinks I. That puts it's center line some 3 feet off centre and what the hell happens when it goes over the dodger????
Can someone please shed some light here before I start renovating mine....

They probably just attach it there in port so they can have that bimini/tarp up.

Yup I thought it was just temporary, but rooting through the pics on the website I can't see it mounted anywhere else..Interestingly, watching the videos of their trip, they only seem to use the jib on the few occasions they sail. Granted they came down the ICW from Quebec but most of the trip has been under power, even the gulf stream crossing.

I'll bet there is a traveller just in front of the helm/wheel.

Yep! There it is, in one of the videos. It appears he does a lot of motoring. I'd check the hours on the motor too.

Oh well spotted Sir.
Yes they have certainly motored a lot in the vids.

Found it... Right in front of the binacle.

In some of the sunny day photos it looks like the bimini panel between the arch and the coachroof zips out. The boom and sheet block are stored outboard when the canvass is up.

If I was making that cool arch anyway I would have tried moving the traveller to the top of the arch if there was room although that would require moving the mainsheeting via the mast. But then they could still be in Canada making the boat "perfect." never mind...

They look like they are having a blast...

Yes they have certainly done some excellent upgrades and seem to having a grand time. I've been happily following the trip.
I have a lot of work to do on my own Centaur but will focus on the inside for now 'til we get under way. I would stick with the tiller though and am not too fussed about the davits. Plus I don't have an internal engine so all that space will be converted to a double berth.
