Kind of looks like a cal 20 with a ghastly modification.

Cal 20s don't have that many windows.

Whatever it is, it probably has rat turds in the bilge.

Here is another one the guy advertised as a "Cal 2-27", but it's actually a Cal 27-T2.

Still a Lapworth design, where he took the original Cal 27, put on a different deck and made other alterations to make it more suitable to racing.

Definitely not a Catalina. Larger than a Cal 20. Not a Coronado. Not a Cal. I know what it isn't but I just don't know what it is.

My dad had a catalina, I remember how it had to "pop top" ..Ive never seen that feature on any other boat..

But when you look at the pic closely, you see palm trees, I figure the boats in Fla .. there's all kinds of people living aboard down there doing all kinds of crazy things.. if its not a pop top then it looks like the guy took a saw zaw , cut the top off the companion way and fiberglassed a camper top off of the back of a pickup truck

The palm trees are in Hawaii. Tcul has been looking for boats over here for quite some time and there are some bargains to be had.
The Catalina pop tops did not have hard sides or port lights built into them. Some had canvas sides but not very many. Their deck to hull joint was more traditional compared to the linked boat. The hard dodger or extended cabin top almost looks factory since the port lights are similar to the rest of the boat.
I'd be interested to know what tcul discovers about the origins of the boat.
