Transmission Needed For 1974 Bukh DV 10 M
Does anyone know where I can find parts or a replacement transmission to fit a Westerbeke Bukh DV 10 M engine? It's a 1974. The original tranmission was built by ZF Marinegear I believe.
Thanks,
Tom

There was a complete running bukh with transmission on seattle craigs list a couple of weeks ago. $900 I think...

Thanks, but I did a check and didn't see anything under boats, westerbeke or bukh on the seattle craigslist site. Maybe he sold it?

Have you been to the westerbeke site> click marine engines then "old" literature, W10. Bottom of page 2 says Bukh built.

I found the ad...... I had printed it : john 206 842 6873 if you have a bukh... Maybe a whole parts engine would be nice. My little bukh ran well.

Re: Transmission Needed For 1974 Bukh DV 10 M
I'm in the process of getting in touch with this guy in Seattle, but if anyone knows of a transmission or replacement parts for this transmission a little closer to the East Coast that would be nice to hear about. Or is there a direct replacement?
Thanks.
Tom
it's a ZF MarineGear Transmission on a (westerbeke) Bukh DV 10 M engine.

Re: Transmission Needed For 1974 Bukh DV 10 M
Cheechako,
Thanks for the info on the Bukh DV 10 that was for sale on Craigslist Seattle. I didn't find another and as it turned out I needed the engine too because mine blew the head gasket a few days after I got the transmission in. So, now I have that engine for parts to support the replacement.
Btw, the guy there in Seattle is a diesel mechanic and was very helpful with the change over etc.
Thanks Again,
Tom
