I posted #25. Since then I've put the conduit in my
mast. I used 1/2 gray
electrical conduit. It's only $1 at Home Depot. If I need another I'll simply put another conduit. I think 2 smaller ones are better than one large one.
I lined up the printing as I glued them together
one by one as I inserted them. I also ran a continuous bead of SILA next to the printing. Don't try to slide an entire 50 foot as one long peice laying on the ground.
Here's the answer to your question: I layed 3/8 concrete rebar inside the conduit for weight to hold it all in place while it set. I taped the ends together so I could get it out.
The very last short peice of conduit doesn't get glued in ... it's a measure guide and sticks out the bottom of the
mast with a mark on it so you know how far to push up into the mast. Once it's where you want it then you push/pull/turn the conduit so the SILA is down.
This thing's not going anywhere ... ever
My 48 ft mast took 4-1/2 tubes
