Story says the young crewman was asleep in his bunk when the boat capsized and then the companionway was blocked. Sad end.

I thought that boat looked oddly familiar. There was a 70+ foot Seaton ferrocement boat at the St. Pete Municipal Marina for years. Last I heard it was donated. I have not seen it at the marina in 5+ years. Here is a picture of it. Might not be the same boat, but definitely a similar design.

I guess it is the same boat. Before she was "Hawaii Aloha", she was called "Caribbean Reach." The boat was put into service by YWAM in St. Petersburg in 2010.

Sad story.
