Re: Tayana FD-12

I just saw your post.
I bought hull #14. I am replacing the standing rig and chain plates. While removing chainplates i discovered a lot more then i bargained for.
What kind of issues did you run into?

Hiya Emerald,

I grew up across the street from where your boat is shown. You are actually in South Portland
I recall as a kid when they built those condos, my parents old place was one of the old sea captains houses on “B” street the middle one.

My old wooden 44 footer sat in the same exact spot as your vessel shown many many many years ago.

Had to say hello as the picture took me on a real journey home.

Congrats on starting your Circumnavigation!

Safe journey.

Brock

Re: Tayana FD-12

Did any of you repower and up the engine size? If so, did you get a new prop? I have a 20 inch 3 blade fixed and it's just not biting enough.
