I bought a 40 foot steel boat years ago. I checked it out, looked good. Im smart and read all the books. What a disaster. Couldn't
Get insurance , no boat yard would take it. Put thousands into it then sold way less than I paid for it. It was a great learning experience. Never got it in the water. Best of luck to you.
