Southern California

I'm planning my first trip to california the last week of march and I've got to come up with a way to go sailing while I'm there. My experience is limited to one year on lake erie in a 22 footer so chartering is not an option. can anyone tell me if theres a way to volunteer as crew for someone else for a day or two ? I can't miss this opportunity it may be the only time I get to see the Pacific so I'm open to any suggestions.
I'll be staying in the long beach area.

re: Southern California

The Marina Sunday Sailors meet at Marina del Rey on the second and fourth Sunday of each month. Guests are welcome on a first come, first served basis. It'll cost you $4 for breakfast and a bit to chip in to buy the skipper lunch but, other than that, there is no cost. Marina Sunday Sailing Club Home
