South African Race Series 1981

[Shadowfax III]

Hi Team,

Shadowfax III has three small shields glued to her mast with the following information:

2nd Bird Island 10R or (IOR) 1981
2nd NSRI Pursuit 1981
3rd Bird Island GPII 1981

I am making the assumption that these are all South African races.

These tiny shields are all the clues I have to finding her history, previous ownership etc.

Current race form to date for 2010:

3rd on handicap, race 2, Cruising Division, DBCYA Wet Season Race Series, Darwin Harbour, 28th November 2010.

Any information on this boat, previous ownership, race history, how she came to Australia etc. would be appreciated.
