Smoking Yanmar

Hi all. Have recently experienced smoke..black smoke and carbon trail from the exhaust on my YSB8. SHE RUNS PERFECTLY IN NEUTRAL BUT WON'T TAKE MUCH MORE THEN IDLE IN FORWARD GEAR. FUNNILY ENOUGH THERE ARE NO ISSUES SEEMINGLY IN REverse.could it be as a result of foward thrust of the shaft meeting some kind of resistance in the skeg bearing. exhaust is new, new seal washer and injector.any kind of advise of similar problems would be appreciated...cheers ROSSCO.

From what I understand, the engine loads down if forward, but not in reverse. If so, I would expect something aft of the engine.. transmission, something around the prop shaft, ect.
