The 27 or the 25... the same boat except for the cockpit.. you probably get more bang for the buck in a Catalina. easy to handle and cheep to maintain, very little wood, and the swing keel means shalow water use..
They're a good looking boat and the resale is good enough that if you spend your money wisely, you'll probably get most if not all of it back when you either move up or move out..
