Small Baltic Trader / Archer-Style Boat

My wife and I really like the "baltic trader" style sailboats and I was wondering if there are any boats of that style in the 30-50 ft size. I should also say that our budget is VERY small. I would love to find a boat that is more or less sea worthy but that needs the interior redone (I am a craftsman by trade and would be doing the work myself). I am working on my captians license and want want to live aboard part time while I get sea days. We would be daysailing and coastal cruising in California (mostly southern)

Some thing like this:Classis Sailing Yacht, "Mette Marie", Baltic Trader Style, One owner

(only free to a good home )

Any thoughts/advice?

I saw that one, if it was on the west coast I'd talking with them about it.
I was hunting down other ads for the same boat and found one that said something about, "needs work to keep from becoming a nightmare". That kind of language makes me a little nervous.

Thanks. I like the fishers and that schooner is beautiful. Does anyone have experience with this type of boat?

Then there are the Fisher series from 25 to 37 ft in GRP. Plenty available at Yachtworld. A bit pricey.

The flagging alone is worth the price ... George's Cross, New England and the British Ensign?

Nice looking porn for sure.

One learns something new everyday. Living in the Baltic for over 50 years I had never heard of a 'Baltic Trader'.

Looks like a fishing gaff rigger to me, or something like that...

Anyway, looking at those kinda vessels, may I suggest Colin Archer- inspired boats as such?

Like Westsail, Ingrid etcetera.

Or maybe it has to be a wooden hull?
