I noticed my sink has no shut off valve, the vavle seen on photo is for my ice box drain, the sink has none, do I need to install one?

Jobi. I think it would be real wise to put a sea cock there. I would for sure put a new hose clamp on the hose though.

make it 2 hose clamps, 1 sea cock and wood plug near by to jam in the hole.

thats what I was thinking, I asked because the boat has been sailed sins 1964 without a sea cock.
I remouved the hose clamp to uncloge the pip, started dismantleing the water tank for better access. will instal a sea cock next week.

first thing I have done when owning a new to me boat is replace the hose,hoseclamps and check the seacocks. Sometimes the hose looks good but is dry rotted. Consider that a failure here will send you to the bottom. I have an inch of fiberglass but only 3/16" of rubber at a thru hull between me and the water.

I’d install a seacock in place of the through-hull (or a valve immediately inside the thru-hull), and leave the valve for the reefer/ice box drain.
Normally the reefer drain valve is left closed, to prevent warm air entry into the box (because there's seldom room for a trap).
