That Outbound 44 photo shows a very nice shower. Those are some nice boats!

Re: Shower Me Timbers! Boats Up To 50' LOA with Shower Stall

Our Cooper 416 has a half tub and seat in the forward head.
The seat became the clean towel storage, the tub became dirty laundry storage and washing machine combo. Think grape stomping.

Storage lid. Toilet is to the left (forward) of the sink

Thanks too to those who are posting photos of a shower. The photos help and can show how different boat designs approach the brief (include a shower). Please continue to post photos if you can.

Shower with Seat
I see that the showers with a seat look most practical to me, for showering while underway.

Shower with Tub
Some boats have a "sitting tub" and I wonder how practical or appreciated those are. Being a single guy, it may not be as important to me as it might be to others, especially women who like a bath. Anyone care to speak to the value of the "tub" or 'tubette" on a boat?
You can use the tub for laundry.

They are indeed VERY nice boats, we had one at the marina where I work as a sub and it was without a doubt the highest quality boat there, a great example of what Chinese builders are capable of when building for a quality western company vs the crap they can make for crap western companies.

Re: Shower Me Timbers! Boats Up To 50' LOA with Shower Stall

Nordic 40 and 44 are very nice aft cockpit boats that have a separate shower tucked in under the forward part of the cockpit. Very efficient use of space and well located to hang foulies when coming off watch. The Nordics shower is all one fiberglass unit with no seams to collect dirt and grow mildew.

We currently have a Tayana 47 (48) and it has 2 separate shower stalls, one in the master cabin and one for everyone else (and one outside at sugar scoop). We plan to do all the boats showering in the master heads shower and use the other one as a large wet locker. When we were looking at boats a couple years ago, a separate shower was a priority for us because it's something you use every day. We found a few Hylas boat that we really liked but none of the ones we could afford had separate showers. I found that surprising because other than that they are very well thought out and high quality boats. I can understand sharing the shower with the other head functions on a 35' boat to save space, but it seems to me that on a boat over about 45' in length, there's no reason not to have at least one dedicated shower space.

Bump for this topic.
I will add a few more boats to this thread soon.

If you have a separate shower on your own boat, please post a photo of it and description of your boat model. Photos are important.

A separate shower is wonderful.
Much prefer it to a boat with two heads w/showers; I found those showers smaller vs a boat with one head and a shower separated by a bulkhead. This shower is big, love it.

This is a really custom Serendipity 43, you won't find another with one and only 24 made, so I am not sure how beneficial my post is. This was a custom mod. The trade off is a smaller v berth, but there is a queen aft cabin (pullman style, it's an aft cockpit) so it's usually the garage anyhow and guests like the oversized pilot berths or convertible dinette vs the V anyhow.

Thank you for sharing that info.

The Tayana 47 is one of my favorite boats.

I will post a drawing and photos of the showers I found on a sale ad for a 1990 Tayana 47 so others can see.

Thanks!

For what its worth, if anyone is looking to modify their shower or add one I highly recommend including a rod like how I have it. Obviously it's great for drying out gear or to tie off wet lines or fenders to dry out while underway (laundry too if cruising and it's wet outside). But it has come in handy while showing on the hook in a storm, being able to hang on when its rolly or gusty. Also, it saved a guest while showering from getting thrown around from the worse wake I've ever encountered (on an end tie when it happened, it was so bad other boats on the dock lost cleats!).
