Selling a sailboat

Which website is the best/most viewed/biggest if I want to sell my sailboat?
Can anybody help me with that one?

Thanks!

Jesper

Re: Selling a sailboat

Really depends... what size boat? where in the world.

We've had succcess in the past with Crailgslist and SailingTexas. More receintly started using just reSail and Craigslist.

For more expensive boats yachtrader is almost a given.

Re: Selling a sailboat

Yacht world if it's through a broker or sailboat listings.com if it's not

Re: Selling a sailboat

Craigslist, reSail, Sailboat listings and if it takes longer then a 3-5 months or you are in a real hurry go to a broker

Re: Selling a sailboat

Marinesource.com has a lot of listings, as does iboats. I look in Boatsville, Appolo Duck, everyboat, and sailboat owners.com. These are smaller sites, but have listings. I am unsure of the financial arrangements.

Various forums and owners associations have classifieds too. Total saturation is not a bad idea.

A lot of sites seem to cannibalize other sites' listings, and some have listings long dead. Outdated listings float around from site to site, like ghost ships caught in the Sargasso Sea.

Craigslist is very popular where I am. I found both my boats on Craigslist.
