Seguin 44 Performance

Is anyone familiar with the sailing performance of the Seguin 44? It has an SA/D in the 15's and and a D/L of 300 but it has a PHRF of 99.

What??? You want a 120?

Is that a local rating? Are you primarily interested in racing her?

Not planning on racing. Just want to get an idea of sailing performance for this boat and don't have an opportunity to sail one myself.

Re: Seguin 44 Performance

its an S&S design. That is about as good a guarantee of wholesome sailing performance as you can get. Will go weather like a witch but not a surfer off the wind. Still will hold their own against most other designs. Actually, who cares how they sail, they are such beautiful boats they could sail like a slug and I'd still have a smile on my face. As old Uncle Nat said, "A good looking boat always sails well."
