That's quite a trip! Can't be of any help as crew, but was wondering: how long have you planned for it? Thinking of doing a similar trip.

Apparently not long in planning, or he'd have a skipper and crew already set up by now. It is a long trip. Getting across the Bay of Biscay is a bit similar to crossing the Gulf Stream, only worse. Nasty weather can suddenly crop up and trap you in a bad lee shore situation any time of the year. If there is a set departure date, is there a set arrival date too? This might make waiting for a weather window problematic. Who's paying for the ship's stores? Sometimes crew are asked to chip in, sometimes crew are paid. Which kind of trip is this one? Is the plan to go straight from St Malo out past Finisterre and Gibraltar without stopping, or is the plan to hop along the coast in good weather? In a 33' boat? How well maintained is it? Is the liferaft recently serviced? Does the radio work? Is it an AIS unit? There's a lot of shipping along this route. Is there an EPIRB? Lots of unanswered questions here. Bon vent, cependant.
