Very true unfortunately at under 100k true displacement motor yachts can be a bit harder to find, with two staterooms. The larger Willards are nice but hardly on the market same with Krogens. You can go up and down the coast with other trawlers but you may need better weather windows. For me on the east coast I would get an old Hatteras or similar motor yacht but I could use the ICW or stay inshore most of the time. The Hatt 42 LRC may be an option thou.

They do neither well, and stink at both. Most people figure it out, which why manufacturers have difficulty selling them. Example: Shannon just went bankrupt trying to market their latest block of wood.

Not sure they ever went bankrupt I believe they just ran with little production for a while. Their still around I stopped by their shop back in May.
