RL 28 - What Think Ye?

Mr. Rob Legg seems to have garnered quite a cult following with his relatively seaworthy and somewhat classic little boats.

Wondering if anyone has heard of them, sailed or owned one and what he/she thought of the experience.

I'm also wondering if the older models (1978-80) are still considered fit, and if their age might make them more prone to hull problems.

All sincere comments would be greatly appreciated.

Regards to all,

G2L

Enthusiasts?

I haven't checked out the website but it appears that Rob Legg has an enthusiastic following.

Re: Enthusiasts?

Great boats - owned an RL 24 and it was a sweet boat, quick and fun. The 28s are a bit heavy and caravanish, but they sail okay and are very comfortable.

That's the idea! Not gonna race it, gonna cruise it.

Are the old hulls fit, all the way back to '78?

Thanks for your input,

G2L

Re: Enthusiasts?

No expert on the 28 - but all the boats I have seen seem to have good hull integrity. Mainly cause most are stored out of the water.
