Recommended marina in Annapolis for overnight

I'm doing a "Guys Sailing Weekend" with some friends in September. We'll be heading to Annapolis and spending the night. I see there are several marinas there. I'm looking for a recommendation. My boat's a 33' Newport with an 11' beam and 5' draft.

Thanks to all who reply.

If you want to be in the center of things you can just pick up a mooring ball in the harbor or tie up at the city dock (aka Ego Alley)...

Harbormaster's Office

The water taxi should be running.

I had a great stay at the Annapolis Yacht Basin. Nice facilities, friendly staff, walking distance to McGarvey's...

As previously mentioned, just pick up a mooring ball.

Yeah, for a "guy's weekend" I'm guessing right in the harbor will be where you want to be.

If you arrive on Friday morning approx. 11-ish or so (just before changeover time)... you might be able to get a slip or a spot on the bulkhead at the city docks (Ego Alley) under the Harbormaster's control. (That is NOT the marina named "Annapolis City Docks".)

Sometimes you can get a slip/side-tie at changeover on Saturday's, too... but that depends more on luck. If that doesn't work or you can't time it that nicely, there's usually a mooring ball and water taxis up to a certain time at night, and there are dinghy docks conveniently located.

Or Annapolis Yacht Basin (just across the creek, next door to Marriott/Pusser's) is a very good marina... as is Annapolis City Docks on the Eastport side of Spa Creek, just a tad further to walk to downtown.

Lots of marinas in Back Creek, but the Spa Creek area would put you right in the town center without having to resort to long walks or long water taxi/dinghy rides.

All good places.

To be in the thick of things, in a slip or on the wall in Ego Alley for sure.

Not sure about the Annapolis Yacht Club and transient slips?

Suggest The Hard Bean for coffee to nurse your hangover. There or Chick and Ruths Deli.

Good point, for YC members who might enjoy reciprocal privileges.

They share space with Annapolis Yacht Basin, plus some other areas... so I think there's no fire damage to any of the dock areas. Looks like they've been using the "restaurant" building (last iteration it was a Phillips for a while) on the "park" side of Ego Alley as their indoor (and maybe dining) space. I've see AYC shuttles running back and forth...
