They show NOAA charts online with problem areas flagged. Another good website to check status of the ICW is Cruisers Net

The water is always bluer on the other side of the ocean.

Re: Realistic expectations for deep draft on the ICW

I did a presentation for SSCA at the Annapolis gam in September on "Resources for Cruising the ICW." At the presentation we had copies of books and charts provided by various publishers for people to look at. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but here are the links for websites, publications, and other info: Life Afloat Archives: Sources of Information for the ICW Trip

If anyone is aware of other resources I've missed, please let me know; I'm trying to crowdsource the presentation since I'll be doing it again next year. Thx.

Shameless self-promotion - my blog for the Annapolis Capital newspaper Life Afloat is having some formatting glitches, till then I'm posting at Life Afloat Archives and Life Afloat on Facebook! And a new project, The Monkey's Fist: Collecting Cruisers' Perspectives
