Question on Types of Cruiser/Racer in USA

Hi all of you,

since i am from Germany i have the feeling that i do not have a very
good idea what kind of Cruiser/Racer are built in the USA.

Weeks agoo someone from our sailing club came back from the USA with
a Santa Cruz 52. Looked at their website but their new boats seem to be
more racer than cruiser.

I know J-Boats and now Santa Cruz but i am very sure there's more out
there.

Any suggestions of brands ? from you will be appreciated.( For information:we are now sailing X - 41' from Denmark and are looking to something similar maybe a bit more racing, between 38 and 44 feet)

Cheers and thank you for answers

Not much here for racer/cruisers, maybe a C&C or a J. After that you end up with more race oriented boats.

I think you have a broader selection of racer/cruisers in Europe then we do in the US.

Hello Joli,

yes, it seems like that, we do have a more or less good selection here.
Beside this J-Boats is also building in France with an own factory, very
good quality as i have been told.

Well i keep on looking on the market and thanks for your help.

The X boat is pretty unique. Go here and punch in SA/D of 27 and you will see a few boats on the list--all of them bigger than the X boat
