Purchase advise

I am looking to purchase a 40-45 foot 2000-2008 sailboat. I have made an offer on a Beneteau America 423 and the Selling Agent is quoting me selling prices for recently sold boats from a web site that only brokers have access to.

Is that information reliable? I am dubious of anything only sales guys (Brokers) have access to? Is there anywhere I can access reliable information on actual sale prices?

Being a recovering Realtor, the information is probably good if it's run like the old MLS system. Since boats aren't titled like realestate, don't know where you'd get actual sale prices other than from a broker operated system.

He is getting his info from Soldboat.com. It is the broker side of Yachtworld.com. Considered a very reliable source.
