Practical boating forum, Is it a joke? What am I missing?

here's one for the record books. I just tried to sign up with "practical boating forum". Whilst going through the registration process it asked me to answer a 'random' question'....being "who is the investigator". After looking at some members posts (thats what it tells you to do) I found that 'investigator' is a guy called "mattysupra". So I typed the answer in to the random question box only to be told it was incorrect. So I tried this several times and got the same result. Then I figured I should contact the site but would you believe it asks another stupid question regarding me having to identify one of the members again! The problem is when I change pages to find the answer then go back to the "contact us" page....it aks for yet another different members name. Am I loosing my mind or what ????

Stick with CF, the only dumb questions are in the threads

I should have mentioned, I did that too and the correct answer I gave was "incorrect" (who is navigator=mattysupra)????? I proved wotname right though as I posted a stupid thread here 'eh! I'm trying to sign up on as many forums as I can to find my grandfathers yacht but this process is wrought with danger. I signed up to "yacht forums.com" also, The moderator promptly deleted my thread stating his web site is for yacht orientated threads, not 23ft sail boats! Guess I missed the point there too

Hi DJ. Been lurking for a while on this great site What type of boat did your Grandfather have? Have you tried posting on trailersailerplace.com.au.
Cheers

Yacht forums. com sounds like a snooty group. Any boat used for recreational purposes is a yacht in my definition. 8 ft, 23 ft, 55 ft doesn't matter.
Hope you can find the boat you seek.
kind regards,
