Please help identify this sailboat

No idea how old the picture is but a friend sailed on it in the Caribbean in the early '70s.
Thanks,
Bob

I guessing the brand name starts with a letter "N".

Re: Please help identify this sailboat

Well, I'm pretty old, but I don't recognize it, not a Morgan, I don't think, but doesn't look like a Newport, either, at least to me. Possibly from the '60's, 28-30 ft?

I actually went back in and found the features more like a 1965 Pearson

While I do not recognize the class, it looks like a Nicholson design.

The 32 had an inboard rudder but the subject yacht's cabin trunk looks similar to the 32'.

The outboard rudder suggests a 31 per the sailboatdata site : NICHOLSON 31 sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com

It's a Pearson for sure. Lots of them out on the West Coast

Definitely not a Morgan Out island. no Out island had an outboard rudder. I have an OI 41 looks completely different.

Here is what they look like:

Re: Please help identify this sailboat

It is not a us production boat.

The raised/ stepped cabin top with large window AND transom hung rudder is a combo I have not seen before.

Possibly a Lars Olaf Norlin design. Possibly a Marieholm 32 or 33. Look at the rudder, classic Folkboat.
50% chance.

Re: Please help identify this sailboat

Looks like a Newport "N" but they could have just gotten the sail used. I can't think of any Newports or Pearsons for that matter that had a rudder on the transom. Looks European, I am guessing around 27 feet, and judging by the headsail, it may have had a sprit, though you can't see the bow. I want to say folkboat too, but not sure why, I don't recognize it..... I like Brian's guess, Marieholm, but can't find one.. maybe someone took a folkboat hull and put a custom cabin on it?

Close but none of the Norlin boats have that arrangement of windows.

Re: Please help identify this sailboat

More specifically it's a Triton 22 built by Pearson and designed by Gary Mull. Mid-sixties US production boat.
