Perkins gearbox
Good morning all ,just maybe somebody can help ,I live in mallorca and I sail an old Dynamique 44 and 9 month ago the gearbox just broke ,the engine is a Perkins 4236 m and the gearbox a Borg Warner 71cr,.Anybody has an idea or a suggestion to find one ?

What are the symptoms? Does it not engage fwd or reverse? Noisy? Oil level full? Maybe the splines on the drive bolted to the flywheel gave out. Really hard to say without more info. There are places that rebuild and sell replacements. Try Googling and see what turns up. Good luck and please post what you find out.
