The Perfect Boat for Cruising?

I thought I might post this as a little inspiration for those wondering how much boat and how much money you need to go long range cruising.

This boat was in a slip in Sebana Cove Malaysia in March of this year. Looks like an interesting conversion. If I recall it was from Russia (Vladivostok). So if you are motivated to leave where you are, apparently it can be done quite economically.

20 years ago met a french COUPLE cruising a lifeboat converted to a gaff cutter, Solomon Is I think, no headroom, sold the boat when she got pregnant ( always a risk on a boat where you can't stand up.)

This $$$$ to go cruising post comes up quite often. You can cruise the USA for a year in less than 10g's including boat IF you can handle a small boat.

How much do you need in a boat to be happy cruising if it means going or not going?

Hmmmm. Well, I guess to each his own. Nothing about that boat appeals to me, and the low cost does not offset the asthetics. style may not account for much, but it is something.

I guess it depends on application and personal taste for, asthetics sake that boat needs ballast tanks for diving so we don't have to look at it.
