Pearson 365 Upgrade, Repair, Maintenance

I recently purchased a 1977 Pearson 365. I need some ideas on how to build a seat for the helmsman so I can see over the coach roof. Also I am thinking of raising the mizzen boom a little to provide more head clearance in the cockpit.
