Pearson 36/2

Help!! New here, not sure how to start a new thread. Just got Pearson 36/2, Don't know anything about them. Like to correspond with another owner. Like to get any documents, manuals, drawings, anything about the boat. Been to many Pearson sites but not very helpful. I cant even find the batteries!! HELP!!

Hi and congratulations. The manuals for most boats are of limited use. go through your boat and look in every nook and cranny. Determine where the thru hull valves are. Look closely at the engine: where does the cooling water come in? follow that hose from the hull to the engine. Is there a water filter? Does the seacock work or is it frozen? Do the same thing for the fuel line, batteries, fresh water system etc. Make a note of anything rusty or corroded. When you are done you will understand your boat a lot better. (and have a list of things to do!) I once found a nice sextant in a wooden cae stuffed behind the curved setee back in my boat. This was like 6 months after I bought it!

Thanks Chako, good advise. Did all that, but having experience on only a Columbia 28 with an outboard, this boat is a bit overwhelming. I hope I find a very old Sextant somewhere. Thanks again.
