PDF version of Dan Casey's "Inspecting the Aging Sailboat"

Can only find book versions of this or DRM versions for nook. Would anyone have it as a PDF / ipad compatible?

keylime, you know there is a legal way to read a book without buying it, that still allows the author to earn a meager living from his work.

Go to the LIBRARY and ask them to bring in the book through the library loan system.

Then you borrow it, make notes, and if there's so much stuff that you can't remember it or make notes on it...You help Mr. Casey pay his rent and grocery bills and just buy the damned book.

Bootlegging is bad karma, and Poseidon knows karma.

You haven't tried the libraries in Beirut.

And I get a feeling people gonna pile on this thread. Just looking for something ipad compatible. I travel a lot. Can't lug books around. Also, can't get reliable postage even to get the book. One makes do. And very happy this man makes a bit of cash. Would happily buy it directly off him so he makes even more.

Then you pay the Lebanese Tax and buy the Kindle version. The author still gets about 1/2 of that and the rest preserves his copyrights through that nasty DRM scheme.

I think he was only objecting to the DRM versions being limited the the Nook, not that he couldn't copy them for free. As he clarified, he is happy with the Kindle version that he can buy and then read on his iPad

Don't let the hostile natives scare you away... and thanks for asking the question. I just got a nook for Christmas and looking to buy some reference books, Don's will be a good one to add to my elibrary.

Actually $9.99 for the Kindle version or you can give Apple an extra dollar, pay $10.99 and get it in Ibooks. Why the extra buck, I don't know.

I think we can safely assume he found a copy, or lost interest, in the previous 6 years since this thread was last responded to.


To site managers, I wonder if we could put a warning to folks who are responding to a historical relic of a thread...
