Paceship 32

Looking to possibly get a really good deal on one near milwaukee. Not sure of the year, I think it may have been a 68. I took a look at it and was unable to detect any sag in the deck but I didn't sound it. I heard the fiberglass is really thick, which would be good for longevity i would think. Visually everything looked in order, just that it was showing it's age. It seemed to have very thick standing rigging, and i didn't get to inspect the sails or any running rigging, or the engine. That will all come at the next inspection since it is in the water now. I don't have much experience with large sailboats but I do have an extensive boating background so i'm not a complete newb. Is there anything in particular to look out for in these?

Check the hull to deck joint for sure. I had a paceship from that era and had seperation problems.

I can't answer your query but for fun will add she's a pretty quick boat for her era, a little tender at first, but sails well overall. I raced against one for years and she was a real favourite of mine. Nice interior too, very comfy cocoon.

The interior looked dated obviously but solid. Won't the hull deck joint be hidden by the rub rail? Special way to check out our is it only something that would show on an inspection
